The Vaad Roshei Yeshiva of Torah Umesorah urge all those who use the internet to do so only with a filter in place.

The Inside-Out Method

“I worry about my sons,” says a Lakewood mother of seven.

What does she worry about?

What do we all worry about?

“I just want them to feel connected,” she says. “How do I know what their feelings towards Yiddishkeit will be once they leave yeshiva?”

She wants them to enjoy going to shul on Shabbos instead of grumbling about leaving their beds.

She wants them to think about why they’re doing what they’re doing instead of posting what they’re doing and when they’re doing.

She just wants them to feel a connection.

Don’t we all?

“We need to go back to basics,” R’ Elya Brudny says.

Basic Yiddishkeit.

Basic Bren.

Basic Connection.

In a certain sense, many mashpiim today are trying to do just that.

To ‘rev up’ our generation by working on the ‘Inside-Out’ approach as opposed to the ‘Outside-In’ that has become so prevalent.

Rav Meilech Biderman has no formal beis medrash, yeshivah, or kollel, no mosdos or website, and no official organization.

Yet hundreds upon thousands of people are downloading his speeches, his Divrei Torah, his ‘vertlach’ to hear and to repeat. Why?

Is he a poel yeshuos, a miracle worker? Mishpacha magazine asked a member of his inner circle.

“Reb Meilech,” the man said, “shows you that you are a poel yeshuos. His themes - emunah, simchah, tefillah - inject you with such power, such a sense of your own ability, the koach every Yid has in Heaven. So yes, he does work wonders; just he does it his way.”

With his bren, his fire, his pathos, R’ Meilich gets people to feel.

To care.

To believe.

It may be a drought, but Klal Yisroel is searching thristily.

Keiravtuni is another fast growing movement that was created with the sole purpose of bringing Yidden closer to Hashem, to their families, friends and communities.

Keiravtuni arranges beautiful and lavish Shabbatons that feature some of the world’s renowned lecturers and sought-after personalities. They discuss topics imperative to every Yid living in today’s generation. Emunah, Shalom Bayis, Chinuch, and Avodos Hashem are just a few of the key ideas. Keravtuni hosts these beautiful and uplifting events periodically throughout the year, giving people a chance to reconnect.

To get closer by becoming closer.

Man’s nature is to be impacted by his surroundings.

In a world that has become pretty much ‘automatic’ - can we wonder at our own brand of ‘robo-Judaism?’

Walking the walk and talking the talk is all very good.

But if we want a lasting connection, it’s the inside that needs the work.

From the Inside...Out.
